It seems you may have had some 'interesting' weather today. If you witnessed any damage or exciting weather I'd be really interested :) if you dont want to give away your location on mn you can either pm me or put in a report to TORRO

Huuuuuge hailstones (ice cube size!) and thunder and lightning for about 10 minutes at about 5pm this evening on the lancashire/west yorkshire border. Is that exciting enough?!

OhYouWickedWickedWitch · 25/10/2013 22:38

Very much so. Dichoto. Large hail reports are very interesting. Is it possible to pm me your location please (or send it to TORRO if you want to stay private from me too!)
Was any damage caused by the hail? What did the hail look like?

Ooooh, I'm West of Warrington and we had a very random thunder storm and heavy rain mid/late afternoon.
The temp dropped really suddenly after, I felt a bit sorry for all the soaking wet people in their shorts and flip flops!

I was coming out of hobbycraft in Warrington at about 4.20 and walked into an almighty lightening and rain storm. Stupidly carried on my journey and ended up having to join the m62 when the rain was so heavy it made it almost impossible to see the lanes. Nothing majorly exciting witnessed though

I'm in north Manchester and we had a crazy hailstorm at 5pm last night. It started with thunder rumbling and then the heavens opened. Our street looked like a river!

ArabellaBeaumaris · 26/10/2013 12:41

I was in Halifax yesterday at 5.00pm when thunder/lightning struck - then I got on the train to Mandhester. It looked very wet out of the windows.

We had hail in mid Cheshire at about that time too, not as dramatic as others are reporting but came out of the blue. Are you still interested in location kitten?
