Gale warnings for Scotland and NE England

From the met office for sunday afternoon into Monday as a deep area of low pressure develops to the north of the UK. Potential for gusts of up to 70mph in parts of Scotland.

Autumn seems to be arriving early.

In the Isle of Wight here. So far just a bit windy and rainy but the foghorn is going and the guys at the Needles were talking about shutting early for the storm.

How did it pan out cru? Generally a windy day today with perhaps gales along the western coasts.

Bit of a damp squib really. We're in a spot that gets quite a lot of wind but this didn't seem exceptional.

I didn't think it would be. I've no idea why it was talked up so much.

Well, ds and I got totally drenched today. At one point he had to walk behind me as we walked into the wind. Good fun though.

Twas a sunny morning with a cold wind yesterday and then a mixture of sunshine and showers . 7 degrees atm. Sky already cleared then clouded over again. Can't seem to make up its mind
