After a slow start to the Atlantic Hurricane season...

We now have the first hurricane of the season, Hurricane Humberto.

Also TS Gabrielle and an area near Mexico that could develop into something.

Looks like they are all going to arrive at once!

Some funny old names this year! I was a bit startled to find we'd got to H already so I looked up the named storms so far here

Looks like Humberto will probably not stay as a hurricane soon and perhaps not make it to the eastern seaboard. TS Gabrielle looks ok too goes north a lot and doesn't develop further. It would be brilliant if it carries on this way.

I think they had predicted this season would be an average or slightly above average one for Atlantic activity?

But it seems to have been very quiet so far.

I think you are right. Interesting. Perhaps things have been so active that we've forgotten what an average season is like?!
