Weather warning issued for Friday/Saturday

by the metoffice for heavy rain.
Looks like the start of Autumn for some.

I did start to rain, but not heavily, at around 8am. By 9.45 it had stopped.
When I emerged from the dance hall at 12 it was raining lightly. Not much rain in plant pot saucers at all.
Only 17 degrees out, but not cold, no cold wind and still muggy.

It's not looking too bad for the next few days. Some wet along the western side of the south coast and also the northern half of the UK tomorrow (right down to north Wales) but even that looks like it will clear up through the afternoon. After that, some showers around, but nothing too bad at all and some sunshine right through Tuesday.

We lost power in the early wee hours, when the heavy rain started up here and didn't get it back until lunchtime.

And now there's floods all over the NE - Cleveland Police have declared it a major incident because there's so many roads impassable.
