We had a drop in night temperature last night, 12 degrees atm but had been 16-17 since the heatwave began. It is a very clear sky, but perhaps it is the sign of changes to come, or just a short blip? Hmm.

Supposed to be a lovely sunny weekend with fresher air qualitySmile

Not weekend - for the next 2 days, I meant. Not fully awake yet Blush

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/08/2013 08:29

Not looking like it will get hot again through towards the end of August. Instead, plenty of warm and pleasant weather, but the further south and east you go, the better the weather.

JemimaMuddledUp · 07/08/2013 08:34

We had a horrible wet day on Monday, but yesterday was nice and I think it is forecast to be nice for the rest of the week. Not scorching hot, but fine and dry with sunshine. Perfect weather for playing with the kids in the park etc, if it is too hot everyone is exhausted.

We are in Wales.

OYBBK font of all weather knowledge, any chance of nice weather on the west coast if Ireland from Sunday onwards?? Holiday time and I really don't want to be sitting on the beach with a raincoat on!Wink

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/08/2013 08:48

Am just about to pop off out, will have a look later :)

AFingerofFudge · 07/08/2013 09:30

nona2706 · 07/08/2013 09:32

Its lovely here in northern Ireland at the minute and im stuck in hospital so cant enjoy it. Sad

lucysmam · 07/08/2013 10:17

oh nona Sad

'tis pleasant here....I had visions of the remaining three weeks of hols being miserable and wet after Monday's downpour.

At least we don't need to dig out the thermals again just yet Grin

Afingeroffudge, the weather looks....variable. I would have some wet weather plans tucked up your sleeve.

MirandaWest · 07/08/2013 10:36

How about Northumberland from Saturday for two weeks? I would like some dry please :)

PeterParkerSays · 07/08/2013 10:37

We're camping from 19th August, so it had better sort itself out by then. We had fog this morning. Fog! It's August - more sunshine needed please.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/08/2013 11:07

Miranda, some dry is certainly likely. Wall to wall dry. Fraid not!

MirandaWest · 07/08/2013 11:09

That's ok :) I would like an amount of dry between Monday and Wednesday next week as my bf is coming to stay with us then and don't want us all to drip around the place!

AFingerofFudge · 07/08/2013 11:12

Thanks OYBBK for the warning Hmm
We have been incredibly lucky every year for the past few years when we go to Ireland. Last year we got practically the only dry week in the West! Still, if we get a few dry days that will be great.

Yesterday was a very nice day and managed to do some much needed , but back-breaking, tidying up work in the garden.
This morning there is a clear sky atm - but only 9 degreesHmm
