My climbing roses will bloom for ever and not need to repeatSmile

I think there's going to be a good display from my roses as well, with loads of buds on them this year which I've put down to the cold winter/spring. I almost pulled them up a few years ago as after a couple of mild winters, they weren't looking that great. I'm glad I didn't now!

My July blooming Japanese Anenomes and Phlox seem to be on time.

I have cousins -in -law who live in the east part of Germany, where their winters are so long and summers so short, Dahlias do not get to flower as when at last ready to bloom, their winter sets in again .

Sunny again here - SE- today atm.

I've never had strawberries ripen during Wimbledon before and they taste very very nice! All my plants are coming up lush rather than leggy and I seem to have enough carrots to open a carrot farm.

We had rain in the night, at last, and can already see the sun breaking through the clouds. Smile

PseudoBadger · 28/06/2013 06:25

Well we've got tons of big strawberries. They're all green though!

The sun made a very short appearance this morning and has been drizzling again.Sad

This morning is gorgeous, already sunny and warm outside. Been out with dog since 8am Smile

28 degrees in the shade and very hot sun atm. Too hot for furry dog and me - we managed only 5 minutes and now back in the cool house which is 25.5. It was lovely in the shade and the breeze, though, < not walking> Where did that heat come from so suddenly?

Meglet · 30/06/2013 20:19

I thought they were particularly nice this summer. I've been buying a punnet every other day, Sainsburys New Forest strawberries, and not had any duff ones yet.

1t was 12 degrees in the night - cooler than I expected- but 22 in my sitting room. Record high . Have the sun in the morning from daybreak, but only until 11 am. Now 25.5.
Yesterday, the sudden heat made me lose my appetite, perhaps I should buy some strawberries < already got whipped cream and sugar>Smile
