met office warnings for heavy rain as a deep low pressure moves in bringing active fronts with it.
Probably looking worst rain wise for the Sw at this point. Very blowy in NE Scotland and perhaps for a time in the SE too. Watch out for some wind warnings for northern Scotland on the met office page.

updated warnings not often you see every type of warning highlighted over two days. Wind warnings out for the Orkneys, fog warnings for tomorrow and snow and ice. Then heavy rain Friday with gales for some.

DP just showed me his phone weather app. Apparently the tem is going to be up to 10 and 11 from Friday and over the weekend. The temp hasn't got above zero today and oly hit +2 yesterday. The 10 degree jump seems a bit mad to me. I guess it explains why there's rain on the way instead of snow :(
