could we not have some emergency act of Parliament to start cloud seeding across the country?

based on my extensive --wiki- knowledge of cloud seeding, could we just seed clouds as they build up over the Atlantic so they dump all their rain in the sea before they get to us?

I'm starting to get trench foot.

Sorry, but I doubt it would work here. We're just too rainy.

but if we seed the clouds before they get here then all the moisture will be gone

We can see them all queuing up in the Atlantic, so we can get the buggers before they get here!

They cloud seeded to make it rain to rid Beijing of horrendous pollution. Quite the opposite.

I thought it was to make sure it didn't rain on the opening ceremony. The idea being that you seed clouds so they release all the moisture in them and dissipate.
