We've had it overcast for the last 2 days with yesterday, the temps reaching a 'high' of 13C here (Leicester.) Today it looks like we're in for a full day of rain and it's so dark outside atm, it could almost be an Autumn day! My outside thermometer's saying it's 10C and I don't think it's going to rise much above that.

And as for the rest of the week, looking at netweather, Thursday looks like the best day of the week for us. DH's taken this week off and wanted to be 'doing things' e.g. outings, with us all but he's considering going back to work as the weather forecast looks so awful!

i'm not that far from Leicester and can see what you mean!

there's a free street party in town today - free food/drink and entertainment and another in a park tomorrow, neither of which we'll be going to, it's depressing out there!

DH is off today (worked yesterday) and then next day off is Sunday next week. DD hasn't slept for 3 nights due to a hacking cough so it's hardly party central here either.

We've got some red/white/blue flowers in a vase and some flags in another, glad i didn't get the bunting up after all, it would have been sailing down the street in all the flood-water Grin

I'm going to put the TV on to watch the floatilla, eat cakes and thank fuck a bit of rain is the only thing we've really got to moan about Wink

Pissing down here too.

Street party on our street and jubilee picnic with music later. Waterproofs a must!

It wouldn't be a bank holiday without the crappy weather now would it? :o

That's very true!
Spending the day eating cake is a good idea! Hope your DD gets rid of that cough soon.

Well I have 16 adults and 9 children coming for a BBQ at 2! God knows how we will manage this one Grin

GloriaSmud · 03/06/2012 20:45

Angry Feet ~ hope your BBQ went OK and everyone else's events went as well as they could, despite the weather. I don't think the rain's stopped at all for us today and I'm Blush to admit that I've put the heating back on!

Forecast for tomorrow is for better weather!

My dcs (and dh) are all away on camp. I've been out there today - it's been sideways, freezing rain all day Sad.
Brings back memories of our Golden Jubilee street party in the rain Grin
