I know there are people all over the country anxiously watching the weather - but I need your help!

We are having 3 year old DDs birthday party this afternoon - supposedly in the garden. We are N Oxon/Warwks borders. The forecast says dry all day - but it's clearly rained a lot over night, the ground is wet and it looks like it may carry on raining - AAAAGH!

Please can you tell me what to expect over the next few hours? Is there any point hoping it will dry up?

Just to update - it is still raining

Ok so it's stopped raining now, and DH is out there brushing the lawn with a broom
Apparently this will help the grass to dry.

It's blowing a hoolie out there at the moment in sarf east London! Looks like I'll be getting me wellies out for tomorrows BBQ.

Could be an interesting journey for those in the flotilla! But at least the rain doesnt look nearly as bad for London today as it did a day or so ago - rain band seems to be rather further north. Sorry, for those further north!
