Ohyoubadkitten, could I ask about London's weather for 22/4?

DD is running her first ever marathon in London on Sunday and we're hoping against hope the wind won't be nottherly (chronic asthmatic, wind is a trigger).

Thank you.

Yes, please tell us what to expect - I'm running it too and have been obsessively checking the Met Office app on my phone, but trust ohyoubadbadkitten much more Grin.

Sorry, just saw this. Hang on....

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 19/04/2012 21:57

Looks to still be carrying on the same theme but rather less in the way of heavy showers I think, temps around 13c maybe a little warmer but watch out for the wind, could be rather gusty.

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 19/04/2012 21:59

Winds will be westerly.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, I can give dd the good news as she'll be quite happy with that.

:) splendid.

SweetestThing · 19/04/2012 23:20

Oh, thank you! I have no choice but to do it, but it will be good if the rain isn't quite as heavy as today!!

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 20/04/2012 16:38

Have looked just now again :)
looks like it could be a pretty reasonable start (with possibly some sun!) but clouding over with perhaps light rain by 1pm. Winds will pick up as the cloud comes in.

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 21/04/2012 14:14

Still looking very similar :) might just possibly get away without any early afternoon showers, but I'd be prepared.

Wink

How did it go? I hope you enjoyed it.

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 22/04/2012 21:08

She made it to the end. Her hip gave out on her at 19 miles and we're having to carry her at the moment but she did it. Boy did the heavens open though, we got a proper soaking. Your forecast was very accurate, thank you.

Yay! Well done to her :)
You are very welcome.
