Following my warnings about strong possibly damaging winds in the sw over night, the met office have issues warnings for heavy rain yuk. Still serves me right for moaning about the lack of rain for the past few months....

It seems to have been raining in East Anglia ever since the hosepipe ban came into force.

Hassled.

I thought the same. but it probably the 'wrong' sort of rain.

Apparently rain at this time of year doesn't count!

Weather could be 'exciting' perhaps overnight with some squalls brewing up and hail and thunder. Any damage reports would be welcome ( though not for those suffering from the damage!)

Woken up to heavy rain and it looks miserable out there! According to the metoffice, looks like it's going to be like this for most of the day.

Grin Gloria that has been my mantra too every time it lashes it down.....again.

It's better in these short bursts-typical April showers to allow the ground time to absorb it.

sigh Needs to rain in "biblical proportions" for at least a week I read the other day.

Ark building anyone?

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 18/04/2012 07:31

It does look miserable. I want to go back to bed!

Well the road is flooded where I park for work. Have to rethink that one.

BelleDameSansMerci · 18/04/2012 07:45

Wow... Had no idea. Hope no-one's home is damaged.

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 18/04/2012 08:07

That's not great 5gomad.
I reallyreallyreally don't want to go out in this. Ugh.

I cannot believe how much rain we had yesterday. We had a moment of sun (I think that's what forecasters call 'a sunny spell') at lunchtime and then it was back to rain. And it's raining again now! Still, remember the mantra 'we need the rain, we need the rain' as we grab coats for the umpteenth time.

Weather warnings for today, tomorrow and Saturday for more heavy rain. Coats, brollies and mantra at the ready!
