I think we have been spoiled the last two years. Is there any on the horizon for us in Sussex or down south please OYBBR? Even in January? I don't want to go back to the bad old days when we got a mornings snow followed by rain Xmas Sad and that was it.

It, horrible here. I have just walked to the shop in a tshirt and all my windows are wide open.

It's Christmas ffs, it out to be frosty at the very least.

Not seen anything at all in the models Meg - sorry Xmas Sad

lubeybaublely · 22/12/2011 12:41

I want snow too. Just a day or two of decent stuff.

This silly mild weather is saving me a fortune on heating, granted - but I can't have a roaring fire when it's this warm

I also want to see how my cats will react to snow because the last 2 winters we had they were housecats and so never out in it.

OhYouBadBadReindeer · 22/12/2011 12:41

Could be some snow showers on northern hills tomorrow as a cold front sweeps the country. Then back to mild for all Christmas day.

OYBBR ~ you're back!
We've got 10 or 11C forecast for Christmas Day Xmas Shock It's all a bit different from last Christmas.

I am back Xmas Smile it is lovely to be back here! Weather is a bit balmy though isnt it? Xmas Grin

GloriaSmud · 23/12/2011 15:11

'Tis both balmy and barmy

I turned the heating off earlier (I know people here are saying they've done this already but I've only just got round to doing it!) I don't remember doing that in December before!

OhYouBadBadReindeer · 23/12/2011 15:13

bum - got the wrong sort of balmy/barmy Xmas Grin

I've started a drought thread - looks like New Year, New weather issue!

GloriaSmud · 23/12/2011 15:21

Balmy/barmy ~ I thought both applied!

There are 3 words I never thought I'd see together; 'drought' and 'New Year' ~ who'd have thought it! We're having plenty of rain today though, proper miserable it's been.

I'm quite glad of the unseasonably warm weather.

I can barely affordto have the heating on as much as it needs to be and it's made a change to only be in normal clothes in the house, not umpteen layers and gloves and hat and fleecy slanket and still be cold. I am sure I am not the only one who is pleased at the prospect of a warm Christmas.

Long may the warm weather continue!
