Forget Christmas...I want to know about HOGMANAY!

Everyone who is coming or going for Christmas has arrived or gone Smile All we need now is to keep the power on and Chrsitmas is sorted (another 3 day power cut might push me over the edge...)

But now I need would like to know whether my family will get here for Hogmanay and whether it will be calm enough for a bonfire and mulled cider on the beach?

Any indications yet whether West of Scotland is likely to have anything resembling calm weather between 30th and 2nd?

Looks like a mixed bag - temps generally look to be on the warm side of average, though perhaps dipping down a bit towards the second. Although hilly parts may seem some snow sometimes it doesnt look like there will be prolonged snow. Possibly pretty windy and wet at times but there doesnt seem to be any major storms showing in the models at the moment. Basically it seems to be continuing on the theme of this week.

Thank you! Well, hopefully the wet and windy bits aren't quite as windy as we have had in the recent past - don't think I could cope with that at all...
