Weather watch - Sunday (as well as england, campers in northern France be aware)

Keeping a close eye on potential developments for Sunday. Of course it is very early days and things may not develop, but there is some reasonable potential for good strong thunderstorms to develop on Sunday as it seems a plume of moist, very warm air may well advect from the south of Europe. Areas most at risk look like to be the SE but there is quite a strong likelyhood of disappointment too.

If you are planning to be camping in northern France then the risk of severe storms is pretty strong. Be aware!

really unsure at the moment (love your name btw :) ) for the storms imported from France I'd say no, but what isnt clear (and won't be til pretty close) is how home grown storms will develop.

Some weather warnings have been issued for Sunday and Monday.

and yet nothing today despite over an inch of rain this morning.

Oh dear, that might be my fault. I've not camped since my teens but dd and I are (were?) planning to camp Sun and Mon nights.

So, so glad we got our crop in last night, despite a slight drizzle. If we'd have waited it could have been another week at least before trying again!

situation is becoming much more complicated and rather than being able to give an update all I can say is ?

maybe thundery in parts tomorrow. Then storms seem most likely monday night into tuesday. (I think.....) but that doesnt tie in with the met office warnings, so who knows. Warnings still suggest Sunday/Monday

ok, met office coming into line with forecast latest warnings, so Sunday no longer the day for storms. Maybe monday....

Some changes to the weather warnings. Looks like Tuesday could be 'interesting!'

It does look interesting to say the least.

We are having logs delivered. Goodness knows how we will keep them dry enough to store....
