Nooooo! You don't think they might have actually got something slightly factual and almost right? My mum tells me all about the summer of '76. I know that it should rain (seeing as how it's Britain etc etc) but reading the Michael Fish interview... 26 - 27 plus everyday from mid June to mid/end July (1976)

Twit, I'm lounging on the sofa with my netbook so its a bit harder to look at the models. It looks quite typically English weather at the moment for you for next week I think - a mix of sunshine and showers - temps around the mid to high teens, perhaps warming up towards the end of next week.
Will have a look tomorrow if I get a good chance :)
