(Going on holiday to Devon this Saturday so if anyone's got any other forecasts for the next 2 weeks, I'd be grateful!)

TheWeatherOutlook says this for the next 2 weeks:

15/4 to 21/4
A mostly dry start to the week is expected, with temperatures slightly above the seasonal average. Through the week there may a change to less settled weather, with an increasing risk of showers or longer spells of rain in the north, possibly extending further south.
22/4 to 30/4
Close to average conditions in the north with showers or longer spells of rain at times. In the south there should be a fair amount of dry weather, but perhaps with an increasing risk of heavy showers. Temperatures in the south possibly remaining above average.

Ok, GFS shows cold for the 29th (compared this past week) temps of around 9-12C and a little bit damp across much of the country. Plenty of time for it to change though, as we get closer I'll start look at the other models.

I think Kate will be having sneaky looks on here for your forecast Kitten - she must have heard that you're the only one who can be relied on!! Smile

OhYouBadBadKitten · 24/04/2011 08:52

Blush I'm hoping that I'm spectacularly wrong and that it ends up at around 21C with lots of sunshine! I do think that GFS is underdoing the temps though and that it will end up warmer than it suggests at present.

ajandjjmum · 24/04/2011 09:24

Fingers crossed then Smile

OhYouBadBadKitten · 25/04/2011 08:15

GFS is still showing cool and a little damp, met office seem to be going with that forecast too.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/04/2011 08:02

Looking slightly warmer now but potentially thundery!

ajandjjmum · 26/04/2011 10:19

Fingers crossed - thunder not until the evening maybe?!!!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/04/2011 14:26

Still looking potentially quite thunderstormy and rain around on the day. Warmer in the SE though - looks like around 20C in the capital.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/04/2011 19:53

still showing potential thunderstorms! Hopefully will take time for them to build through the day.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/04/2011 19:53

Interestingly though, met office has backed away from the heavy rain showers and going for lighter atm.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/04/2011 10:09

looks ok now for the london area :) storms seemed to be backed off (though perhaps late afternoon, but showers quite likely then?) temps in the high teens possibly 20C by early afternoon. Across the rest of the UK, coolish, partly cloudy and possible some showers here and there. Not terrible though by any means.

ajandjjmum · 28/04/2011 13:55

I so hope it is a lovely day - not only for Wills and Kate, but because it will show London at its best to all of the people viewing.

Now onto Saturday Kitten - what's the weather going to be like in Lincolnshire for FIL's 80th?!!! Grin

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/04/2011 14:45

not so sure about the storms/ heavy showers having backed off now! theres an annoying trough over london at midday. aargh! looks like they could be problematic possibly from late morning on. silly weather!
saturday away from the SW looks nice :) sunny/partly cloudy not too hot.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/04/2011 19:49

estofex going for storms with a level 1 threat. They are quite often wrong though.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/04/2011 19:55

Saying that, if the morning cloud clears away ok, they may well be right and it could be quite 'interesting' weather for some.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 29/04/2011 09:07

looks pretty good for today for most! the odd shower about - should improve nicely in the midlands. Whats more - I think the storms may well remain in the channel today!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 29/04/2011 16:51

TORRO have issued a convective discussion, so the day may end with a bang for some Grin
