It is very very dry round here. My veggie plot is like dust despite huge amounts of compost that have gone into it. Although we may get a little light rain here from mid week on, theres nothing substantial until towards the end of next weekend (and we know how forecasts change in that time frame)

It's been really dry here too, which is very unusual.

Since before Christmas I have only had to endure one full Wet Play at school! Shock

I won't be surprised if we have an early hose pipe ban, and we are supposed to be one of the wetest places to live. Hmm

That is unusual! I think you will get some of the wet weather towards the end of the week. Unsure how much though.

Wet play with kids full of end of termitis..... lovely. Grin

We don't finish til Friday here!

The garden could definitely do with a bit of rain though, so it will be welcome!

we had rain on thursday for the first time in 64 days here! it's been a very dry summer. lets hope you send some rain to perth!

mankyscotslass · 11/04/2011 14:00

Wet play today.

We really should have a rocking in the corner holding your knees emocion.

My garden is grateful though!

I am sure we will get our annual 6 to 8 week deluge starting the day the summer holidays start.

Every year we get this water shortage panic - get a warm/hot week in May (this year its been April) and everyone seems to panic.

I very much doubt we will be without some serious straightdown rain for days on end some time soon, as soon as its summer fete and wedding season. This is after all the UK.

My water butt was emptied a couple of weeks ago and I had to quickly whizz the hosepipe over the veggies this week.

The flowers are all droopy.

But I like the heat and sun so won't be doing a rain dance just yet.
