Please. I'm in the midlands. I am done with snow until next Christmas.

I'm in Leicester and haven't heard anything about this (though thought it was mentioned somewhere that it would be cold Thursday/Thurs night.)

winterpetunia · 24/01/2011 13:28

Can't find anything about snow for us but they're saying it will be cold Thursday and Friday, with highs of 1C and overnight frosts.

Perhaps OYBBK can tell us if there's snow forecast.

Mirage · 24/01/2011 14:49

Argh!I've just started back at work.Nooooo!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 24/01/2011 14:52

well......

OhYouBadBadKitten · 24/01/2011 14:57

tbh, I wouldnt be too concerned, it looks cold but pretty dry. I think its just possible that some in the SE and maybe EA may see a bit.

winterpetunia · 25/01/2011 09:42

Ah, thought there wouldn't be anything to worry about. On the BBC lunchtime forecast yesterday, it looked like if there was anything, it would be over the Derbyshire Peaks (as usual!)

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/01/2011 07:48

still looks like some light snow showers in the south and east tomorrow. Nothing to worry about, just a reminder that it is winter.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/01/2011 16:19

bump - don't want to surprise anyone!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/01/2011 17:30

bump.

SecretNutellaFix · 26/01/2011 17:32

phew, avoiding usSmile

winterpetunia · 26/01/2011 17:38

Don't know about it being cold tomorrow, it's been pretty darned cold out and about today! Thought about washing the car this morning but changed my mind when I felt the cold wind

Our local TV weatherman came out with a right corker yesterday lunchtime, when he said the Easterly wind tomorrow "could be bustery" instead of "blustery." He just about managed to make it to the end of the forecast!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/01/2011 08:20

:) Petunia

Still on course for some light snow showers today. I think some of them could produce a little bit of a covering.

winterpetunia · 27/01/2011 09:42

We've had a few flakes this morning. Actually they don't look much like proper snowflakes, they look more like that graupel but blowing about in the wind. It doesn't seem that cold but the wind is a true biting easterly one!

ExperiencedSensibleMum · 27/01/2011 09:45

I got graupelled on doing the school run.

I love having a word for it!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/01/2011 10:37

I think we are almost getting used to the cold perhaps?
Temp 1.4C here but theres a bit of wind and it is grey and gloomy. I'm ging to be working outdoors with some children this afternoon. I really don't want to!

Hassled · 27/01/2011 10:39

Light snow in Norwich earlier - has settled a bit. Bloody freezing.

freshmint · 27/01/2011 10:40

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/01/2011 14:06

Mirage · 27/01/2011 14:40

snowing steadily in Leicestershire. It has been trying all morning, but really coming down now.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/01/2011 18:08

how much did you end up with Mirage?

winterpetunia · 27/01/2011 20:31

That snow must have been quite localised; I didn't get anything here in Leicester apart from a few graupel~type grains blowing about in the wind, just before 3pm!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/01/2011 20:49

at about 2pm my very naughty cat charged in through the cat flap at high speed and straight on to my lap. She was covered in beautiful perfectly formed little snow crystals.

Mirage · 27/01/2011 23:47

It didn't settle OYBBK,and stopped by 3.15pm.Very cold and dry now.

Awww.at your icy cat!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/01/2011 19:00
