An end to the cold weather ~ TheWeatherOutlook seem to think so!

TheWeatherOutlook site says that the cold weather will break between Christmas and New Year.
Not sure about this myself; think I caught on News24 this afternoon that forecasters still think the cold will continue well into the New Year.

I saw, for my area, on metcheck.com that it's supposed to warm up next week. I really, really hope so. It was -7 here at 2pm this afternoon and set to be -10 tonight. Brrrrrrrr.

It will break and be mild but only mild in terms of 'warmer than it is now' !!

Lol it seems to be in the mix at the mo.

Met Monkey are saying it's going to set up a battle ground scenario, and we could see lots of snow from it.

Netweather - some Canadian guy has said it will warm up (if you can call 2-3 degrees warm) till the 2nd week of Jan, then we'll be hit with even worse cold weather than we have been yet.

I guess it's just a time of wait and see's

It does seem to be a bit postphoned looking at the latest gfs - Warm air tries to come in from the west on the 27th now - will it succeed and for how long?
