Snowykitten or anyone - driving to Alps on Saturday - will we make it even to Eurotunnel?

Am worried! We are due to drive from South Wales to go skiing in France on Saturday.
We were planning to leave home about 6am on Saturday to catch the Eurotunnel at about 10am.
Different forecasts seem to be predicting different things - eg cold but dry or milder and wet.
Any thoughts/advice anyone?
Of course we want lots of snow when we get there and are less worried about the French side because they are better at keeping everything open.

hmmm def not milder! I think that it could be quite a tricky journey if I'm honest. Wales is set to get a fair bit on friday and into saturday, then the south may see a lot (depending on where the low pressure ends up on Saturday) Sorry its not a happier prospect.

Thanks SnowyKitten - well, nothing we can do other than cross everything and hope for the best (plus get the car prepared for snow, which it has to be anyway as we're going to a ski resort).

Will keep a close eye on that front and hope it stays well to the north!
