OYBBK - when is this snow going to melt (South East)

Thought this justified a new thread! Obviously we have tonnes of snow, we've had another load during the night and it's apparently going to snow all day but the big question is WHEN are they expecting it to start thawing?! When can we get back on the roads?

(because no school run]
(because haven't finished Christmas shopping and we are going away a week before Christmas)

Hi Elspeth, I'll keep further updates to the 'Thursdays snow' thread as I'm going to busy with my own snow today, ao its a bit quicker :) I am really unsure as to whether there will be a temporary warm up in the south on Saturday. I'm going to be honest and say that I'm waiting for some discussions on weather forums for this when they wake up.
