It appears to show lightning striking the Statue. Even if the lightning didn't actually strike it, it's still a great photo!

saw that the other night, don't think it hit the Statue either, but awesome photo.

My dad is the type that would probably have tried for 40yrs to get a photo like that.....

That's beautiful.

It makes you wonder why lightning doesn't just randomly take out people and buildings all the time, doesn't it - like a big monster!

Frrrright - it does in some countries!

I nearly died of fright when arriving in Zimbabwe for the first time. It was only about a week or so into the rainy (and thunderstorm) season, and I was browsing the national newspaper and there inside I found a little "head count" of people killed by lightening strikes so far that season Shock

It was at about 12 at the point, I have no idea how much it rose during the rest of the season - I was too scared to look Blush
