Apparently today is the start of Autumn. How was the summer for you?!

Thought that June was the best month with really hot weather but it went all downhill after that and it became a ?typical English summer?. And after we got back from camping in Yorkshire (around the middle of July), the nights seem to draw in really quickly and they started getting a bit chilly.

So just a typical summer for the UK!

And what's with the stray ?? in my post? Where did they come from!

Not sure we had much of a summer. End of June was nice but the weather over school holidays was dire. We had some long weekends camping and every single day it rained. Last year we didn't have any rain at all for the exactly the same weekends.

Enjoying the nice weather now though, although not the dark evenings.

School summer holidays were rubbish - the odd nice day but pretty crap

Dreadful summer here - very wet with only a few good hot days. Ruined our crops.
We are probably all going to get rickets.

The only thing I liked about the summer was the lack of homework.

It was pretty decent this year, I thought. August was crap (has been for years in London), but we had enough sunshine to be able to enjoy quite an outdoorsy summer with the kids, including a camping trip in Hampshire where it didn't rain once .

Autumn is my favourite season, though., Especially September. It is bright and mild here today, and the colours in the parks and gardens are stunning.

I think it was a very english summer here after such a hot June. Mix of warmth and rain. I'm in the south.
