Sussex - flooding!

There has been some mega rain dumps this afternoon in Sussex. Anyone got any stories to tell?

Saw a lady wading down the road with her shoes in her hand in Haywards Heath - and a few people couldnt leave their houses - lots of standing in doorways and chatting across the road. No doubt the one way system was flooded again! Trains seem ok though.

HH always seems to flood. i remember really bad floods once., a boy in my school had to be rescued from his house

my back path is flooded (crawley) don't think that really counts though does it?

My Dad's in Lewes at the moment with my Uncle, trying to clear my Grandma's house (she's had to move into a Nursing Home) and is due to travel back home to Leicestershire tomorrow. When I spoke to my Mum this morning, she said that they were going to try and load the van with the last bits of furniture etc today instead of tomorrow, because the weather forecast for tomorrow isn't looking that good. Sounds like they might have been hit by some real weather today then!

sounds interesting did this occur pretty quickly?

well it's been sunny here today, no more rain at all!
my grass is dry and brown again, and my washing that got drenched yesterday is dry :-D
