VOMITTING WORRIES!

My DD is nearly 8 months old. She was weanad at 6 months and took to solids really well. She has 3 meals a day as well as her 3x6oz bottles. The only problem is, she's just started being sick after every lunchtime feed and it goes on all afternoon, til she's given her tea at 6pm. She has a bottle & cereal at 7am - no sick. Her bottle & home-made dinner/bought jar at 1pm & a pudding as she cries as though she's still hungry... quite sick throughout the afternoon. Bottle and a rusk at 6pm - no sick. I've cut down on her dinnertime portion but she cries for more. I thought maybe it's because she's getting more active but I sit her still for as long as I can after feeds.. she also seems really well in herself.. just can't understand why she's so sick? Please advise..

does it happen every day?
is there an ingredient that she has in her lunch which is the same every day?
does she have bottle and dinner and pudding all at the same time?

Have you tried giving her a mid morning snack or milk, then just food at lunch, just in case like you say she's eating too much in one go? Just a thought?

Hi Starlover. It does happen every day. The past 2 days she's had pureed chicken, broccoli, cauliflower, potato & peas. The day before that, she had a shop bought casserole.
Frizbe, Hi. I gave her fruit this morning at about 11am & still some of that came back. How do I cut down on portions if she cries for more? I've tried cutting down on milk amounts but that doesn't make a difference, either.....?

i'm wondering if there is something that upsets her tummy that she has been having every day.
ds used to throw up if he had potato (he's fine now though)
might be worth keeping a food diary to see if there are any links

i also try and feed between bottles.
ie, he will have a feed at 7
breakfast at 9
milk at 11
lunch at 1
milk at 3/4
dinner at 6ish
then bottle before bed at about 7.30

Just fed her and yeah... sick again!! Tried solids first, then her milk, which is different to how we normally do and still no change.

try leaving a bigger gap between the solids and the milk... it might just be too much in her tummy all at once

Thanks Starlover, will try that tomorrow! Will try anything! Just one more thing... When do you stop winding them?

not sure. i still wind ds who is 6.5 months
i guess you stop once they start bringing it up themselves

I know it sounds a daft question, but now she's starting to use a high-chair, do you have to keep getting them out after every feed to wind them? She does bring it up herself but only when you move her.

hmmm hadn't really thought about that one tbh.
i don't and ds seems ok... but then if your dd is being sick it may be worth doing

I think you dont have to wind a baby if she can sit on her ownn, roll or crawl.
