Hi

Dont know if im being over cautious here but how much of the above is too much. Do u just cook like u would yourself?

Im giving my 6mth DS both purees/mashed and finger food. At the moment hes just mostly on veg and fruit purees or jars and havent gone much further yet.

When he has toast (attempts to) i just put a thin layer of marg on which im sure is fine.

But if im frying food like when i do mince, mushrooms etc, should i be careful how much oil to use?
Should i soak up or drain some of the fat first before pureeing it?

It wont be all the time of course but is any cooking oil or marg healthier than the other or am i just being silly and worrying over nothing?

I wouldn't give my DD margarine, but do use unsalted butter. I don't worry about oil in cooking as they need some fats anyway.

I don't really like margerine, so we used unsalted butter, and olive oil.
