Should I give weaning food after sick in night?

DD is 6.5 months but weaned early (on consultant's advice) due to being premmie and reflux. A week ago upped to solids three times per day. Last night she was really sick - proper vomit-smelling stuff rather than reflux - and had high temperature. Doc said not to give her any more milk in the night but didn't think to ask about weaning food today. She slept (finally) from 3am until 11am so just gave her milk then. She fed for an hour and has kept it down. Still felt hot this am but not setting the thermometer alarm off anymore. She's probably about to wake from a 3 hour nap and I don't know whether I should give her solids or stick with milk for today.

Was thinking maybe just keep it plain, perhaps just potato? Any thoughts?

I'd revert back to milk only when she's poorly. Its so much easier to digest.
I don't really get the weaning early with a premie. You'd think you'd wean them later.

Thanks bumbums. Nice to have someone else confirm your thinking. I did give her a small amount of potato, pear and baby rice at tea time, but other than that it's been just bf. Premies don't have the vitamin reserves that most babies get in final 5 weeks of pg hence early weaning.
