DS has just started BLW and has been having cooled boiled water from a sippy cup. How long are you supposed to use boiled water for ?

Thanks

I never, ever boiled water for dd. She started having a sippy cup when I started weaning, normal tap water.

I never sterilised either. Mostly, I was fairly lazy lax.

And to reassure you, The Tank has never had an upset stomach in her life apart from 2 instances of norovirus when the entire family was ill.

From six months you can give water from the tap.

at the tank

I need to stop calling her that don't I?

She is named after and built like a tank though and it's been her nickname since birth. In 25yrs she'll be on futuremumsnet.com's aibu talking about how I've scarred her for life won't she?

weegiemum · 12/06/2010 09:24

Yes I was as lazy laid back as SoH. No sterilizing, no boiling! I have a friend who was still boiling water for her 18 month old!

lol at futuremumsnet.com. We'll all be nosing on it to find out what our dds/dils think of us. Mind you, we'll have to be oldgimmernet.com by then!

jemjabella · 12/06/2010 09:25

I'm as lazy as SOH.

belgo · 12/06/2010 09:25

SOH- yes perhaps it is time to change to her very beautiful birth name!

ShowOfHands · 12/06/2010 09:27

Sherman it is then.

Some days I think I am oldgimmernet.com

minxofmancunia · 12/06/2010 09:39

Gave tap water from weaning 5 monthsish maybe? And stopped boiling and sterilising then too

My dd was really sick last night and doc advised cool boiled water - she's 6.5 months - but don't know if that was just because she was ill.
