Hi

I'm sure I read somewhere that you don't have to faff about peeling a deseeding a bnut squash, that you can just bake it whole then scoop out the flesh, anyone done this? What temp and for how long etc? All help gratefully received

Hi

I baked one in the over for around an hour at 180 degrees, scooped out the seeds, scraped the skin off then whizzed the flesh in the processor until pureed. Tons easier than trying to peel a raw one!

You can even eat the skin - it has a chewy, sweetish flavour a bit like toffee. Not sure I'd give the skin to babies though.
