Drinking from a real cup

My DD is 16 months old and always wants to drink out of our cups or glasses. We let her do it while we hold on to the cup but I am thinking of getting her a little plastic beaker to do it herself. Is she too young and is there a cup you could recommend? I saw one on the internet a while back that had two handles and it had no lid but was a no spill cup. For the life of me I can not find it now!
Please help

brilliant. She is nearly 16 months old now with lots of teeth and it does bother me. She would rather have a normal cup. The only problem I have is that she likes to throw everything! I have just ordered a doidy cup so hopefully she'll just be drinking out of a normal cup v.soon
