Quick survey: BLWers and puree-ers, what was the first solid thing your dcs ate?

5 weeks and counting til weaning time and I'm actually looking forward to it this time!

A sausage.

BLW special - brocoli

BLW - tenderstem broccoli

A banana - he looks so cute in the photos launching himself at it

mango - then broccoli

Roast fingers of butternut squash and sweet potato (mostly squished, not much eaten)

Steamed carrot and broccoli a few days later had a bit more success.

never pureed a thing in my life. mashed banana and avocado and very quickly on to spag bol!

Ds1's first food was a mashed banana. (puree fed)
Ds2's first food was an un-mashed banana. (BLW)

Courgette.

Sorry, forgot to add, we're BLWing.

Started BLW last week. First thing in mouth, celery stick, First thing swallowed, red pepper

i think he sucked some houmous off some cucumber - he had the cucumber before for his gums when teething but didn't really eat it... either that or brocolli. (BLW).

A good gnaw and a suck on a pear DH was trying to enjoy eating

puree with all 3 of mine and we started with pear!

sweet potato.

he tried some steamed bits and some puree. looked most puzzled.

Carrot. Then chocolate croissant.

Um... actually, some of DH's ice cream (he had the ice cream in one hand, DD in the other arm, and wasn't in time to do anything about her open-mouthed lunge...). But the first thing she ate that she was given was broccoli, I think.

Banana - not mashed.

Carrot stick sucked. Banana & strawberry mashed together eaten.

I am informed by Granny that the first thing I ate was an After Eight mint - fed to me by my naughty granny
