Hello ladies,

My daughter is 11 months old. a few days ago i moved from bottle feeding to beaker. when she bottle fed she'd drink 21oz a day but with the beaker, i'm struggling to get her to drink 9oz (2x1.5hrs-yawn). she eats a lot and is otherwise okay so should i ignore Gina Ford and let her drink as little as she likes? ive tried removing the plastic bit so its free flow (makes no difference) and ive tried lots of different makes.

Thanks for your advice,
Mrs Chung

how long have you been doing cup feeding? I did it gradually one feed at a time e.g. offered milk from the cup in the morning and in a bottle at bedtime. Only once ds was taking a good amount from the cup in the morning did I switch the night bottle to a cup too. We started at 9 months and ds was onto cups for milk by 10 1/2 months. You dont have to do it all at once as doing it gradually is just as good and means your lo doesnt drop their intake too fast.

i would go back to the bottle!

I would go back to the bottle. I love bits of the Gina Ford way but she does get them off the bottle very early and at your dds age it is more important for her to have milk than it is drink from a beaker. just my thought anyway

I would do bottle again too. I take bits of advice from GF and adapt to how I want...
