DD has eczema. Thinking about weaning soonish; is she more likely to have allergies?

Weaned DS at 6 months, no problems, no allergies. He's a great eater. DD is 5 months old now and I plan to start weaning her in a month or so. She has eczema (which ds never had). Does this mean she is more likely to have allergies and that I therefore need to be more careful with weaning? Any advice?

Thanks!

Hi, probably. I had the same problem. I found it helpful to keep a food diary to check any common denominators when the eczema flared up. My consultant said avoid banannas as can trigger asthma.

Have you eliminated all usual things like biologicial washing powder, checked if chlorine in the pool gives her exzema etc? Or do you have pets at all? All these might give excema. Good luck!
