Nearly 8 month old, not eating much- is this a problem

I am BLW my nearly 8 month old ds. We started at 6 months. I do spoon feed him porridge ( I work full time and just don't have the time in the morning) and yoghurts- he loves yoghurt!

Anyway, he eats meals with us (with childminder he eats with her and other children), but most of it still goes on teh floor. I don't think he means to put it on the floor- he sort of puts it to one side, and the side is the floor.

Is this ok? Will he get the hang of it?

Hi, my ds is also BLW and doesnt eat much either. He will eat a quarter of a crumpet for example for breakfast or a quarter of a banana. He still feeds once or twice in the night though (breast feeds) so isnt that hungry in the morning. Most of the time he will only eat half of a petit filous yogurt too - just to give you an idea of quantity!

He does love cauliflower cheese though and seems to eat more of that than anything else!

My DS is the same. Unless it's pizza he loves pizza. I make my own because then I can hide vegetables under the cheese.
Gill Rapley says that food is fun until they are one, so I wouldn't be too worried.
