Hi

I just wanted to check with other lo's eat each day as my HV said my DS is overweight.

I disagree with her and think they just say things sometimes to make them feel important, at the moment his weight is just slightly above the 50% mark but his height is at 90% so I think his weight is ok for his height.

Anyway at the moment he has the following each day:-

7am - 7/8 oz of formula

9.30 - bowl of baby cereal or yogurt and fruit

12.30 - full jar 7 month+ baby food + 1 oz water

3.30 - 7/8 oz of formula

17.30 - another jar of food + whatever water he will take

20.30 - 7/8 oz formula

bed - finally

am i over feeding him?

thanks
x

sounds ok to me to give 21-24oz of milk and 3 meals. At thst age ds still had 5 milk feeds (gave up the night one at 8 months) plus 3 meals.

What weight is he?

fraggy · 23/04/2010 12:23

Hi

he is just under 20 lbs

looks OK to me, but Ready Brek is much cheaper and nicer than baby cereal

Seona1973 · 23/04/2010 13:35

ds was 20lbs at 5 months on just milk and wasnt considered overweight so I doubt that your lo is overweight at 20lbs at 7 1/2 months.

p.s. we used weetabix, ready brek, etc from 6 months

Sounds fine. I sometimes wonder what planet some hv are on. My charge was and still is on a similar schedule and is 20.5lbs at 10 months. She looks nice and chunky, just as babies should
