Hi there - I started weaning my DD at 5 months and she is now eating a wide variety of fruit and veggies. She is now hitting 6 months and the question I have is about protein. Im using recipes from Annabel Karmel and Im confused ... 2 of her recipes (for chicken and fish) are in the 1 stage weaning section but the lentil recipe is in stage 2 (in another of her books all protein recipes are in stage 2 ie after 7 months). Therefore my question is should I give protein now at 6 months or wait until 7 months? .. thanks

I don't follow AK but I was giving my son cheese and other proteins at 6 months.

I'm doing blw, but from 6 months you can pretty much offer anything (except highly salted/sugary foods, honey or nuts).

For my own peace of mind I'm thinking pregnancy food - if I could eat it when I was pregnant, he (9months) can eat it now!!
