Can anyone remind me of the kindest way to get a 3 year old off 2 bottles a night please?

Do u mean just before bed at night or do u mean through the night?

Seing as your DC is 3yrs and probably very attached to these 2 bottles there is unlikely to be an easy way to knock it on the head.
Do you want all bottles gone?
If so I would firstly explain to you DC that there will be no more bottles, You could use the 'bottle fairy'. Put them in a pretty bag and hang them on front door. In morning there's a gift from fairy.
Explain that she's a big girl now and she doesn't have milk in the night anymore. Just a cup of water if she's thirsty.
You could give her some cereal before bed just to make sure she's full and won't need anything till morning. Then I would just be prepared for what ever dissruption this all causes. She may actually be fine with it. My DS had bottles till he was about 20mths and when we went to a cup at bed time he really didn't care.
As long as you are sure what end you're trying to achieve and stand frim this should not drag on.
Go for it!

Bums bums, thanks for that and yes soph 24 i mean before bed and at least twice through the night. He's a v naughty demanding little boy. i like the idea of the bottle fairy, I might have to butch the concept up a bit to draw him in. thanks for the idea.

Sorry don't know why I thought he was a she! Try Bottle Pirates thats a bit more butch! You might find that once you've conquered over this matter you may find he's easier to manage all round. For a while anyway!
