Scared of carrots... when to try again?

Not 6 mo DD, you understand, but me that's scared of the aftermath of carrot puree.

The baby rice was going so well that I thought I'd liven things up after a week with some pureed carrot. Bless her, she had three mouthfuls before asking what the bloody 'ell I'd done with her lovely rice. But, we then had three days of awful runs - nappy rash (her), misery (both), guilt (me), etc...

Anyway, how long should I leave it before trying again - or is there some other veg that might go easier on her digestive system? She's happy, but I'm getting bored with rice and porridge.

my 2 never took to carrots. Sweet potato, butternut squash, parsnips are alternatives. You could try some fruits too e.g. banana, avocado (nicer mixed with each other), pears, apples, etc

Thanks, Seona - might pluck up the courage to offer sweet potato next week.
