BLWing no 2 - some revision questions!

We BLWed dd two years ago. Did it quite slowly - she took a bit of time to get interested so just single veg then fruit then gradually other stuff (can't really remember now how long I left it for meat, fish, wheat, etc.)

We started ds on Sunday and he went for it big time. On day one he had some roast carrot, parsnip, potato, and little bit of brocolli and some cucumber! He did brilliantly, no gagging or anything, and loved the grub.

But, having been a two a day boy, he didn't poo till this morning!

What now? Do I just give him whatever or shall I take it slowly? What should I wait on (eggs, honey, nuts...)

I think I'm meant to start him on water straight off. Do I need to boil it?

He obviously likes his food so should I offer some at all our meals or try and ration it as his digestive system is obviously still adapting?

Thanks for any help...

Water after every solid meal def helps with the poo situation. I also found oranges and broccoli did the the trick.

I boiled the water at first, but then read from 6 months ordinary tap water (we filter) is fine. I offer water at every meal.
No honey til 1. Not sure about nuts, whole nuts I think it 5, but nut products I suppose depends on allergies in family? Although we have none, I still haven't given dd peanut butter.
Eggs are fine from 6 months, IIRC, if they are thoroughly cooked through. Although I know they are a potential allergen, so caution if there are allergies?

Thanks. I offered him some (unboiled) water in a sippy cup and also tried the doidy. I can't remember how long it took dd to get into that. He even had a bit of chicken last night but we were a bit worried as he was stuffing huge amounts into his mouth so we took it away. I think we'll all be in our stride within a week or two, He seems to be back on track with the poos too.
