Meh, I really should do this weaning thing

Strawberry has been wanting food for weeks. I've been giving her the odd bit here and there and she is so much happier when I do, but, but, but.... it is just so much effort

She's only just about 6 months, so it isn't like I'm starving her, but I really do need a kick to do this properly.

Got a high chair yesterday which should make life easier.

I feel like a really mean mum because I just can't be arsed. Breastfeeding is so much easier.

It isn't even like it is an effort as I tend to go with blw.

Poor neglected third born.

Someone remind me all the good things about weaning instead of the mess and stains?

not entirely sure why I used and italicised the word effort twice

My poor neglected third born was 7 months before she had solids. Although to be fair I don't think she was that bothered. It didn't seem to do her any harm.

Sorry, that's not the kick up the bum you needed is it?

I remember that. It is much easier with milk!

Once you get into it, it's easy.

It gives me a chance to clean the kitchen while he eats .

I get to eat when he does, instead of trying to grab a bite here and there.

I'm sure there's more!

I am so with you on that one

The mess

The nappies

Having to cart even more stuff around with you ifyou go out for the day

28wo dd2 has food, but I too am lazy and it is very sporadic. I think I may just exc bf her until she's old enough to cook her own meals.

You can take lots of photos of them with brocolli in their nose, yoghurt in their hair and banana in their ear for that album to display as a slideshow at their 18th birthday?

TrillianAstra · 04/04/2010 10:25

Can I be very boring and say why not cook a proper meal for all of you, sit down with it, and stick some on the highchair tray bit for Strawberry.

Voila - fed children, fed Flame, fed baby, and feeling of good-mum-ness.

Flame · 04/04/2010 11:45

Sit down with my children?!?!?!

You'll be wanting me to talk to the things next

I like the photos plan

Eat out until she's 18...job done.

(May be expensive)

Shaz10 · 05/04/2010 19:35

Ok forget mine. Do what remotecontroller says.
