Blue cheese - when can it be introduced?

Was planning on pasta for tea, with blue cheese & spinach sauce. Can I give it to DD? She's 8 months. If not I'll just do regular cheese in hers

Thanks

From 6 months they can eat everything, with the exception of things they can choke on, honey, salt and things like peanuts, citrus etc IF there's a history of food allergies in the family.
Blue cheese is fine, but because all cheeses are contain a lot of salt, I would go easy on the sauce.

I didnt think you were able to give it till after 1 year unless it is a pasteurised cheese although if it is being cooked that would killany bacteria anyway

p.s. it is the listeria risk that is associated with blue cheeses

Yes, but 8 m old is not a newborn and his immune system could deal with it, I think.
Also, if it's in the sauce, then it's cooked, so no bacteria.
Here in France all the kids are eating it and I don't think there's a higher incidence of listeria-caused illnesses. I stand to be corrected, though.
