can nearly 9 month old have sausages?

could i give my dd sausage and mash. she is 10 days away from 9 months old. if so which brand. we dont eat them often but fancy a change. im thinking of the salt content really.

Yes, the amount she'll eat will be negligible.

Just lay off the gravy. Both mine were mad on roasted onions with potato and sausages at that age.

Look at the labels - they should say how many grams of salt are in each sausage. A 9 month old can have 1g of salt per day - remember that she will be getting salt from other things like the mash (if you use butter) and gravy if you use that and other meals such as lunch or breakfast.

I tend to get Walls Best Bits or Richmond skinless (just because the local shop do them) for DS.

DS (10mo) loves sausages and has done since he was about 7mo. I tend to cut them in half length ways and then he holds the piece and nibbles away. I was also concerned about salt content but he only has 2 roughly once a week and - as whomovedmychocolate says - has no gravy with them as that can be just as bad re salt.
He tends to have roasted veg at the same time which he also loves!
