Hello

my 7 month old ds was 1 month prem and so we waited till now to wean. Our dd was blw and it was a dream, she was sitting up from 5 months and feeding herself almost from the start. Ds however, is not sitting up and rarely able to put things in his mouth. We have been trying to spoon feed him lumpy mashed carrot, cauli, banana but he shows little interest and cries. Having gone the blw route the first time, spoon feeding is new to us, can anyone tell me if this is normal , he is bf and feeds loads, every 2 hours night and day. We live abroad so advice from pediatrician here was wean from 4 months but wasn;t goin to do that as he was no way ready.

thank you

I think you follow what baby wants, if he's not ready leave it for a while longer.
Especially if he's on formula you don't need to worry about iron. You can get vitamin drops (?maybe) if he's breastfed. That covers your bases and lets him take his time.
