AT 12 m DD would have about 4 bf a day. For breakfast bowl of porridge, milk and whole banana. Often no snack before lunch. Lunch: smallish plate of pasta, or half a chicken breast with 3-4 broccoli sprouts and 3/4 cup of rice, yoghurt or fruit. Snack: biscuits or fruit or small chunk of cheese. Dinner: similar quantity as lunch, usually meat, veg etc plus fruit/yoghurt or maybe a slice of fruit tart or apple crumble.

Also her appetite varied ie sometimes she would eat only half her portion, sometimes whole chicken leg with lots of potatoes, greens etc.

at that age both lo's had 2 milk feeds (formula) - 1 am and 1 before bed. They had 3 meals and 1 or 2 small snacks with water. Up till 1 year a minimum of 20oz of milk is recommended but includes milk with cereal, in foods and other dairy e.g. yoghurt, cheese, etc so it doesnt all have to be in drink form. From 1 year the minimum drops to 350mls (approx 12oz) and again it doesnt have to be in drink form as they can get the same nutrients thorugh their food.

today DS had
BF
one weetabix+whole milk
bit of a homemade fruit scone
BF
nibble of rice cake+avocado+tuna
bite of banana
BF
veggie lasagna(lentils/BNsquash)
one boiled potato
two desert spoons greek yoghurt+couple of blueberries
BF

He will have one BF at about 5am as well.

He's not yet really into snacks and the replies above makes me think he doesn't eat that much, but he is very happy and healthy!

My DD eat less than the last poster's DS. My DS was a greedy thing very good eater so I did stress at how much DD wasn't eating. But I have now relaxed a bit and learnt that she is still doing fine and what seems so little is actually fine for her and she is slowly eating more and more

DS2 is one on Monday - today he ate one Weetabix, a tangerine and a banana for breakfast.

Tuna Mornay, peas and sweetcorn for lunch, with yog/pureed fruit for pudding (at nursery)

Tiny bit of crumpet for tea

One scrambled egg and toast, a kiwi and a banana for supper

A couple of sips of cow's milk

He'll have a breastfeed at bedtime.

HTH! He has a big appetite for his age though - DS1 ate MUCH less at this age, and still eats like a mouse.
