DD is now 10 months weaning all going really well, but she is still EBF at her insistance.
I am going back to work in 2 months and am trying to get her weaned off the boobage, but it's proving difficult to say the least!
She really doesn't like formula milk (and having tasted it - I can't blame her) as well as being very reluctant to drink from a bottle.
As she's now 10 months am I ok to go straight onto full fat cows milk?

Some of the books say it's ok and some say it's not appropriate.

I weaned ds off the boob at 10 months because of going back to work and full fat cows milk was the only thing he would take.

I worried about it too until my 70 year old neighbour pointed out that her husband was weaned during the war onto tinned carnation milk (disgusting) and he's still working full time.

You could always try it, see if it suits her and change if it doesn't work.

by the time my dd was 10mo she was on 2 bf's a day, when she got up and when she went to bed, she had water and lots of solids the rest of the time. she eats a good varied diet with loads of yoghurt/milk/cheese and I think she is v healthy. i'd rather that than her drink formula.

My DS is 11mth (just) and is BF am and pm then cows milk rest of time... I didnt even try formula.

i would rather my ds drink cow's milk than formula. my friends mum drank cow's milk straight from the udder and she has the consitution of an ox .
