books on BLW?

Can anyone recommend any books on BLW? I loathe pureeing (did it for DD and DS1) and am keen on giving BLW a go with DS2 but would like to find out more.

TIA

sure, there's one on amazon by gill rapley, but you should also look at www.babyledweaning.com as well.

Thanks LeSinge, I'll have a look at that.

I bought Gil Rapley's book, but a lot of it just repeated what I'd already seen on here or on the internet. I found the book too preachy and irritatingly anti-purees, rather than practical advice and suggestions for food.

I don't have the link, but Aitch's blog was hugely useful.

I found the book a bit disappointing too tbh. But, by that stage, I'd already done blw with ds1 on the back of reading about it on here and dipping into Aitch's blog (agree, really useful).

Gill Rapley's research is really interesting but the tone of the book was a bit basic. There's a tip to keep cucumber sticks ready prepared in the fridge for teething babies - I mean, how time-consuming is it to chop up a cucumber ! Having said that, I bet I'd have loved the book with my pfb!

why thankyou ladies...

i really must tart the site up, it's a bit unloved at the moment, although the wee forum continues apace.

Doh, hadn't picked up on your namechange!

tribute to eddie izzard, did you see the show, the man is a god amongst men.

Bloody hell - it's fantastic - been watching it in utter amazement! Still bemused about poor press coverage though - perhaps it will be ramped up as Sports Relief approaches?

i know what you mean, he'd actually completed it before i even heard he was doing it. i was genuinely in AWE at the show last week, swooning at his mental toughness.
