BLW and childminders

I have started BLW with my ds who is 25 weeks. He is due to start a childminder full time in just over a week. I am going to explain BLW to childminder and provide her with food to start with.

Has anyone had any problems with childcare and BLW?

My nursery have been really supportive. I get the impression that DD is the first BLW baby they've had, but they seem to love it. The supervisor of her room was very much, "seriously?! I don't need to do anything?! Just let her get on with it?!" at first, and they are forever commenting about how well she does and how much she eats. In fact, last week they were telling my husband that some of the other babies have been watching her and are now picking up their own food.

I didn't go in with the "BLW" label, though - just said she always eats finger food and feeds herself, including eg yoghurt from a spoon. DD is pretty strong-minded, and when someone came in to cover from another room and tried to spoonfeed her her yoghurt, DD soon put her right

My nursery is great with it too. They already had another BLW baby (although older), but they still asked me to talk them through how I did it, and I lent them my copy of Gill Rapely's book, so they could be confident they were doing it how I wanted them too. I typed up some guidelines on how to do BLW for grandparents and gave the nursery a cut down version of that with just the main points on and some suggestions of what DS eats.
But this nursery made a point of saying, when I went to look round, that they give the babies purees and finger foods at every meal, so I think they just give DS an extra finger food.
