7 month old won't eat...

I've been trying to wean her for nearly a month, but she just lets the food sit in her mouth until it falls out, or spits it out, or gags. She doesn't complain and grabs the spoon and shoves it in but I don't think that's because there's food on it, she just likes chewing the food.
Has anyone experienced this and does anyone have any tips as to what I can do?
thanks
(so far have tried baby rice, banana, potato, sweet potato, carrot & apple)

She is still a baby, don't worry about it, it sounds like she is happy playing about with the food which is good. She will soon start eating more of it.

I would try doing baby led weaning....this is what I did with my son he loved it and at 2.5 years old he loves his food.....

if she can hold a spoon, she'll be able to grab onto some of the food you leave down for her, some of it will go in.

My second dd was like this and I really really fretted - got to a very bad place where I ended up holding her head and trying to force a spoon of puree in . It was a truly awful time and has affected her eating now. I have just started baby led weaning with my nearly 6 month old dd, it is totally different and I am starting to heal some of the pain from the fuck-ups I made with dd2. Not suggesting that you are at the stage I was but looking back now I know it was wrong to worry so much about her eating, she just wasn't ready then. If you are worrying there is an excellent book called 'help my child won't eat' by carlos gonzalez, really helped me to see clearer and to stop worrying so much. Good luck, weaning can be so stressful and it really shouldn't be, they are still ever so little and have a whole life-time to eat.

I second baby led weaning, it lets the baby take it at her own pace.
