How to stop the dreamfeed in breastfed baby

Hi
DD is 8.5 months, breastfed 3 times a day, 1st thing, bedtime and dreamfeed. on 3 good meals a day plus snacks. She only started sleeping through in the New Year, but then got a nasty virus just as I was going to wean off dream feed. Now back to normal for last 10 days or so and sleeping really deeply at 10.30. Think ready to stop dream feed but not sure how to go about it. With DS I just reduced amount gradually as he was bottle fed. With DD being breastfed not sure whether to just stop or gradually make it earlier and earlier so that increases hours of sleep and decreases amount as more full from bedtime feed. Would appreciate anyones comments or advice.
Thanks

With both of my sons I just stopped the dream feed suddenly (I was breast feeding) And I tended to then top up the bedtime feed with some formula, or some baby rice made with my milk. My first son just slept right on through the first night and that was that. My second son started waking a bit later in the night (midnight to 2)and I must admit that sometimes I breastfed him a little to get him back off!
Sorry that isn't too helpful is it - all children are different - be prepared to try something, stick at it about a week, and then if no luck try plan B (or C, D etc)
